You can bring out a particular colour in a patterned garment by teaming it with accessories or separates in the colour you want to emphasise.
When the floral skirt is paired with blue, the turquoise in the background of the pattern is enhanced. When it is paired with yellow, the yellow toned flowers stand out more. Likewise with the dress, red accessories make the red stand out and blue accessories bring out the blue.
This is a great way to add versatility to your wardrobe and to blend a multicoloured item into your personal colour palette.

Quick Tip: Keep it Low
If you have lucious long legs, you will most probably have a short torso bringing with it the challenge of not looking like you have a squat blob of clothes balancing on top of your pretty pins.
To visually balance your proportions you need to create the illusion of a lower waist. One way to do this is to never tuck. See how in the example below, buy simply untucking our lovely model's top from her pants her waistline is visually lowered and her proportions look more balanced.

You can also visually lower your waist by wearing a low slung belt, if you are one of our curvy sisters make sure the belt is soft and pliable so you don't bulge over the edges. Like our short legged friends you too can disguise where your body ends and your legs begin with a tunic or dress, just make sure that any waist definition is kept visually lower than your natural waistline keeping your proportions balanced.

Quick Tip - short pants shorten, long pants lengthen
If you, like me, are the owner of a pair of short legs you will face some challenges balancing your proportions. One of the guiding principles you can follow is to never wear cropped pants. There are ways for the short legged to do this, but it takes a lot of explaining, and this is a QUICK tip, not a long one!
And of course, I have an example for you. Please forgive that the clothes don't quite fit my 'model', hopefully they fit enough to give you the right idea.

See how the short jeans emphasize her short legs? As soon as they are swapped for long jeans she looks more balanced. Visually create a higher waist with a belt or layers (like the vest), to lead the eye up to a higher focal point. Or you can wear a long tunic or short dress over your pants to hide where your body ends and your legs begin, creating the illusion of longer legs.
